ADELAIDA Cabernet Sauvignon Viking Vineyard RESERVE 2011
90 points. Wine Enthusiast - October 2014

"Fresh and vibrant aromas of dark cherry and purple flowers get serious weight from a touch of tar on this very balanced, tighter Cabernet. Dark red fruits, sweet plums (and their more tart skins) and even blueberry show on the palate, which is equally acidic and tannic. It’s neither lean nor lush, but right down the middle." Matt Kettmann
93 points. Tasting Panel, Anthony Dias Blue - June 2014
"Juicy and vivid with bright plum, black raspberry and spice; silky and crisp with lovely acid structure; ripe and layered, long and generous."

ADELAIDA Cabernet Sauvignon Viking Vineyard RESERVE 2010
92+ points. Wine Advocate, Robert Parker Jr. - August 2013
"A pretty, classic Cabernet, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers up pure and clean aromas and flavors of black currants, mint, tobacco and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, balanced and very fresh on the palate, with firm underling tannin, it should benefit from short-term cellaring and have 15 years or more of ultimate longevity. Drink 2016-2025." Jeb Dunnuck
91 points. International Wine Cellar, Stephen Tanzer - 2013
"Aromas of cassis, cherry compote, pipe tobacco and vanillin oak, with an exotic note of cured olive emerging with air.  Fleshy, sweet and seamless in texture, offering powerful dark fruit preserve flavors and a hint of fruitcake.  Fine-grained tannins give shape to the finish, which features a sexy floral nuance." Josh Reynolds.

ADELAIDA Cabernet Sauvignon Viking Vineyard RESERVE 2009
92 points. Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine - April 2013

"There is no missing the lavish oak that colors this wine at most every stop, but, from its very rich and wide open aromas to its layered, wonderfully persistent flavors, it is deep and generous fruit takes the starring role all the same. Full-bodied and supple with an especially fine texture and gentle, carefully tailored tannins, this one speaks to both optimal ripeness and very good balance and ends with an exceptionally long finish. Inviting right now and so nicely polished that it does not demand lengthy aging, it is certain to last for years."
Gold Medal winner.  The San Francisco International Wine Competition - 2013

ADELAIDA Cabernet Sauvignon Viking Estate Vineyard Reserve 2007
91 points. International Wine Cellar, Stephen Tanzer - November 2010

"Vivid ruby. Ripe blackcurrant, cherry-vanilla and mocha on the nose. Broad, palate-staining dark fruit flavors are framed by supple tannins and pick up spice and candied licorice qualities with air. Becomes sweeter on the finish, with the cherry and spice notes repeating. Pretty sexy wine, with the depth to age but round and sweet enough to enjoy young."

ADELAIDA Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah Chelle Mountian Vineyard Reserve 2007
90 points. International Wine Cellar, Stephen Tanzer - November 2010

"Opaque purple. Sexy, perfumed and complex on the nose, displaying scents of candied dark fruits, cherry-cola and smoked meat. The syrah is making a statement today. Rich and fleshy, with broad blackcurrant and boysenberry flavors that show a slightly roasted quality. Fresher on the finish, which leaves sappy red and dark berry and vanilla notes behind. This could stand up to an assertively seasoned piece of grilled red meat."

ADELAIDA Cabernet Sauvignon Viking Estate Vineyard Reserve 2005
91 points. International Wine Cellar, Stephen Tanzer  - November/December 2008

"Opaque ruby. Powerfully aromatic bouquet of raspberry, blueberry, smoked meat, incense and vanilla. Lush and creamy, offering sweet black and blue fruit flavors and a suave musky herb quality. Quite rich but surprisingly lively, with excellent finishing grip and thrust."
90 points. Connoisseurs' Guide To California Wine - August 2009

ADELAIDA Cabernet Sauvignon Viking Estate Vineyard Reserve 2004
90 points. Wine Enthusiast - April 2008

"This wine is soft with some nice layers, and delicious in blackberry, cherry, currant, licorice and smoky oak flavors that finish dry, with a scour of sweet tannins"
Gold Medal winner, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition - 2008

ADELAIDA Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve 2004
90 points. Connoisseurs' Guide To California Wine- April 2008

"Of the three ripe and rich Cabernets from Adelaida, this one is the most mannerly. Its aromas of black plums, black cherries, walnuts, cassis and creamy oak are inviting at the first sniff, and they only get richer and deeper as the wine airs. It has a smooth, almost gentle feel at entry, but it comes with firming acids and enough tannin to be solid in its latter half and to pro-vide a bit of aging potential as well."
